Why I Built OpsBox AI

I spent 20 years running warehouses and supply chains at some of the fastest-moving companies in the country — Brandless, Zume, Quartzy, TRX Training, and Tile. Before that, nearly a decade as a US Coast Guard Operations Specialist managing international logistics for disaster response.
In every single operation I ran, the same problem existed. The most experienced person on the floor was spending half their shift manually figuring out who picks what, routing putaways, assigning builds, and dispatching tasks over a walkie talkie. Not managing. Dispatching.
I built a hazmat fulfillment program from scratch that required petitioning local government to change zoning laws. I negotiated carrier rates down when the entire industry was trending upward. I reduced order transit time from 2.9 days to 1.6 days.
But the thing that frustrated me most — for two decades — was that nobody had built a WMS that eliminated the human router. The person in the middle of every decision, every shift, every day.
